Reading the prophets is like entering a jewellery shop. We don’t know which gems to admire first.

Mary’s sessions will select a few gems, both familiar and less familiar, lifting them to explore more closely and admire every sparkle using creative techniques such as painting, writing, song and clay work.

An opportunity to meditate and share, in a friendly space.

Mary Callan‘s great passion is sharing Bible stories, and finding their relevance for our lives today. Her belief that encountering the stories in the Bible can bring real healing has led Mary to perform Bible shows at the Edinburgh Fringe and organise the READ-A-BOOK-A-MONTH Bible challenge in the York parishes. SIDE DOOR INTO THE GOSPEL was launched in print at the 2016 Northern Scripture Festival. Other published works include Bible pamphlets, poetry and fairytales, and ‘Mary’s Mag’ for a local Parish. Mother of four adults, Mary is a trained catechist in the Middlesbrough diocese
