Chrism Mass

After the Chrism Mass we go to the excellent St. Francis Social Club for lunch.

At the Chrism mass, the Bishop consecrates the Sacred Chris, and blesses the oils of the sick and Catechumens. These oils are essential for sacraments like Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Orders throughout the year. Local priests also renew their ordination promises before the Bishop.
